Faith can begin with something as small as a mustard seed.

More than twenty years ago, my cousin Jill was courageously battling cancer. I went to visit her and donate platelets, hoping to help in some small way.

During one of those visits, she showed me a small bottle containing a mustard seed. It had been given to her by a dear friend as a reminder of Jesus' words in Matthew 17:20:

"If you have faith as small as a mustard seed... nothing will be impossible for you."

I never forgot that gift.

After Jill passed away, I found myself reflecting on that tiny bottle and what it represented. Over time, Matthew 17:20 became my favorite verse. It reminded me that God often uses the smallest acts of faith to accomplish His greatest work.

Wanting to honor both the Lord and Jill's memory, I began carrying small bottles with a single mustard seed with me. Whenever the opportunity arose, I would give one away—not as a souvenir or a good luck charm, but as a simple reminder that even the smallest faith can move mountains.

For more than twenty years, I've had a mustard seed in my pocket, ready to share with anyone God places in my path. It doesn't matter whether someone is a lifelong believer, searching for hope, or has never believed at all. Sometimes all it takes is one conversation, one act of kindness, or one small reminder for God to begin working in a person's heart.

Project Planting Seeds is simply an extension of that mission.

Every order includes a small bottle with a mustard seed in it, one for you and one to give away. My prayer is that you'll carry it with you, share it with someone else, and continue planting seeds of faith wherever God leads.
